FAQ's

Metal Stamping

Yes. Dayton Rogers holds a Federal Firearms License (FFL Type 07 – Manufacturer of Firearms). This authorizes us to manufacture, stamp, and assemble regulated firearm components and ammunition. We are also ITAR registered, ensuring full compliance for defense-related technical data and military contracts.

The choice depends on your volume. We recommend Laser Cutting and Fabrication for low-volume production and prototypes (e.g., custom rails, side plates, or brackets) because it requires no hard tooling. For high-volume orders (e.g., thousands of internal clips or trigger bars), Metal Stamping is the superior choice, as the significantly lower piece-price quickly offsets the initial tooling investment.

Yes. We specialize in redesigning machined components—such as slide stops, ejectors, and trigger bars—into precision metal stampings. By converting these parts to stamping, we can drastically reduce material waste and production time, offering significant cost savings for high-volume contracts while maintaining functional tolerances.

We support the full R&D lifecycle for firearm OEMs. We use Laser Cutting and Modular Stamping to produce functional prototypes in as little as 2-4 weeks. This allows you to field-test new designs—such as custom rail brackets or internal clips—without the upfront investment of a permanent progressive die.

Yes. We provide complete turnkey manufacturing for high-wear components. After stamping, we manage secondary operations including heat treating (hardening/annealing) and specialized finishes like Black Oxide, Phosphate, or Anodizing to ensure your parts meet military specifications (Mil-Spec) for durability and corrosion resistance.
