The TX Division is now AWS D1.1 certified. Although all Dayton Rogers welders are AWS certified in several disciplines, the Texas Division is now certified to a more comprehensive, total organization welding certification program (D1.1) from the American Welding Society (AWS). The Weld Academy training, testing, and certification consists of 10 modules:

• Welding Inspection & Certification
• Safe Practices for Welding Personnel
• Metal Joining & Cutting Processes
• Weld Joint Geometry & Welding Symbols
• Documents Governing Welding Inspection & Qualification
• Metal Properties & Destructive Testing
• Metric Practice for Welding Personnel
• Welding Metallurgy for Welding Personnel
• Weld and Base Metal Discontinuities
• Visual Inspection & Other NDE Methods & Symbols

Engineering, Welding, Manufacturing, and Quality department personnel are trained and tested in the modules that are relevant to their area(s) of responsibility. This training and certification will enhance our welding skills and recognized expertise with our customers.
