Limitations are established in common practice for most economical production. Recommended ratios are applicable to all common metals.

P = Punched Hole Diameter (0.062 min. dia.)
T = Stock Thickness

Material Ultimate Tensile Strength (PSI) - Ratio P to T

32,000 - P = 1.0T
50,000 - P = 1.5T
95,000 - P = 2T
