Dayton Rogers:
In-House Tooling and Machining

In business, time is money. To save you time, each of Dayton Rogers' six metal fabrication shops has its own in-house tooling and machining facility - to provide quick turnaround on new orders and prompt repair when existing tools need attention. If needed, we can manufacture modular tooling in as little as one day! Dayton Rogers also offers tooling and maintenance guarantees for the life of your modular tooled products. Even though we have years of experience building tooling, we continue to research new methods for increasing speed, quality, and economic value for our customers.

Precision Metal Stamping Tool Building Technology

Our tooling departments use the latest technology, including Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machining Centers. This equipment creates metal tool & die sets, custom fixtures and certain metal parts. Our tool and die departments also include mills, drills, lathes and grinders.

We use your electronic design files to eliminate errors and reduce time to market. We can take your designs (CAD file or print) and use CAD/CAM software to translate your requirements directly into our machines. We're industry leaders for short lead times, allowing our customers to go to market quickly, assured of the highest quality and lowest possible cost.

About our high-tech tool building equipment

CNC Machining Center
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) removes material from a work piece using electrical discharges. It works well on extremely thick and hard materials, such as tool steel used to build metal stamping dies. Wire EDM is more accurate than traditional machining methods, such as milling, because wire EDM uses electricity to cut through material. As a result there is no wear on the machines, which can affect the results over time.

Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machining Centers have computers programmed for precise machining and repeatable accuracy. These machining centers stock multiple tools and automatically change between tools in just seconds. This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to perform precise machining in far less time - giving you superior quality at a lower cost. Our Divisions now offer Secondary and Production CNC Machining to compliment our metal stamping and sheet metal fabrication processes.
